Abby's background in other jobs before becoming a software delivery professional meant she quickly realised the socio-technical nature of software. Team Topologies codified and popularised a lot of the structures and interactions she saw as necessary for any organisation's success. But just as access to a dictionary does not make a world class author, merely having the types, modes, and definitions provided by Team Topologies is not enough for long term success in a specific context. It is the continual learning, adapting, and applying of these ideas that builds effective teams and powerful organisations. Abby is particularly excited about how she can help support those in the platform space identify and evolve their interaction modes to effectively manage X-as-a-Service offerings.
