Fred Wynyk - Team Topologies Advocate
Fred is a Senior Engineering Manager and a Team Topologies Advocate. He started his career as a network engineer in 2006 and eventually became a DevOps Engineer, joining the hot fintech scene in São Paulo/Brazil in 2011. With a strong experience on improving business growth through engineering practices like DevOps and SRE, Fred eventually became an Engineering Manager, leading managers and ICs with focus on Platform, Security and Backend.
Working in technology for over 18 years has sharpened his strong background in performance, scalability and reliability. This experience has led Fred to advocate for loosely coupled components, systems ownership, simplicity, cloud native culture, core teams with a product approach, and Team Topologies with focus on innovation — elements he believes can only flourish with honest and customer-centered communication within an engineering department.

Subsequently, he arranged a workshop on Team Topologies together with Manuel Pais, which took place in November 2019 in Berlin. Since then, Fred has integrated his learnings of the Team Topologies concepts into his role as an Engineering Manager.
Recently, he has written several articles expanding on his experience applying these principles, particularly within companies such as OneFootball and Workday:
