Stories from the Trenches

Additionally, we've seen more research and case studies discussing the real-life implementation of these concepts. Fred Wynyk shared his experience in adopting Team Topologies concepts to grow a small Platform team into a domain at Workday. There is also new research outlining the relationship between team size and effectiveness. Robert Ruzitschaka (Team Topology Advocate) shared those and his thoughts on the ideas of Team First in an article.

The ideas and concepts advocated by Team Topologies are validated by influential publications such as InfoQ. Architects are giving more thought to the socio-technical factors of who will build and maintain the components of a system. Experienced CTOs such as Ravi Nar advocate restructuring technology teams into four types to alleviate excessive workloads, leading to improved value delivery and risk reduction. This approach emphasizes organizational design and culture to mitigate cognitive overload and errors, ultimately enhancing efficiency and outcomes.

Is Team Topologies the right paradigm for your organization's success?

Fast Flow Beyond Software

More and more CEOs, CTOs, and department heads are understanding that Team Topologies can be a solution for cultural and technical problems alike. Fast-flow enables teams and companies to manage outages like those from UK National Air Traffic Services or several big banks such as Barclays and HSBC. If your company is facing such challenges at the moment or if you have a friend in a leadership role who could use support on this side, we are organizing a free CXO event in early May. Save your spot.
