Cris Cadinu - Team Topologies Advocate

With over a decade of experience spanning software development, team leadership, and strategic consulting, I have cultivated a career that blends technical expertise with a passion for organizational improvement. Currently, as a Principal Consultant at Team Rockstars IT, I empower development teams by fostering agile mindsets, optimizing team structures, and aligning technical projects with business objectives.

My focus on high-quality delivery and team empowerment is informed by hands-on experience in engineering management and solution architecture, where I’ve guided cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and maintaining a strong focus on quality and efficiency. Previously, I held roles such as Engineering Manager and Solution Architect, where I led technical projects, shaped strategic roadmaps, and fostered collaborative environments for continuous improvement.

My early career in the defense sector has instilled a foundation of discipline, resilience, and collaborative core values that drive my approach to consulting and leadership today. This diverse background enables me to bridge technical and business needs, crafting environments where teams thrive and deliver measurable, sustainable results.

Team Topologies Advocacy

As a passionate advocate of Team Topologies, I believe in empowering organizations to build resilient, high-performing teams by focusing on team dynamics, clear boundaries, and strategic collaboration. My advocacy is rooted in the philosophy that by aligning teams with well-defined interactions and responsibilities, organizations can achieve improved cycle times, heightened quality, and sustainable engineering cultures. Drawing on my experience across a spectrum of technical and leadership roles,

I help guide organizations through their transformations, leveraging the principles of Team Topologies to enhance team autonomy, reduce dependencies, and establish a structure that supports agile, fast-paced delivery without compromising quality. Through frequent collaboration with industry leaders and ongoing discussions with other advocates, I remain engaged in the latest insights and best practices. My goal is to foster environments where teams are optimized for flow, work ownership, and mutual support. This approach not only accelerates project outcomes but also establishes a strong foundation for cultural change, where adaptability and continuous improvement become embedded in every layer of the organization.

Together with Jacob Duijzer (also an advocate) I am putting together a track for organizations to learn about Team Topologies.
